Coming from a family of producers, it was inevitable that Karen would inherit the gene for making things happen…
Production and problem solving is the name of the game. Each project is a new puzzle to solve.

With 20+ years working in various locations, on sets and for wide-ranging assignments, Karen learned how to lead a team by playing all the parts.

She started as an ad agency art director, then moved to the production company side as a location scout, set decorator, assistant director, and finally Line Producer helping directors create great stories.

In the advertising world, Karen has worked in motion, print, and digital producing video, radio and print assets for clients (or brands) including:
Apple, ALDI, BP, Disney, Fairlife, HP, Kraft, Langham, McDonalds, Nestle, Southwest Airlines.

She’s worked on movie sets as an assistant director and is a member of the Director’s Guild of America.

Her interest in personal stories about people and art led her to create “Me in Box”, a series of documentary short films for children for the Nickelodeon network. Which won a BDA and Parent’s Choice Awards.

She won Best Documentary from the Silver Images Film Festival for her film “Ruth Duckworth: A Life in Clay”.

Karen’s passion to make a difference allows her to develop and direct videos for many non profit clients including the Glass Slipper Project, Refugee One, Camp Soar and the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival.

She is a resourceful planner and critical thinker always pushing to get the most creative solution executed on time and budget, with Plan B in her back pocket.
